Marie Rivier Vision of Hope

The 20th Anniversary celebration of the Saskatoon Discernment House was the occasion for the launching of a new non-profit corporation – MR Vision of Hope inc. Help us make Marie Rivier’s Vision of Hope a reality in our world!

For some years now, the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary wanted to involve more lay persons in their ministries, especially for youth and families. So a new non-profit corporation was formed with registered charity status allowing the issuing of income tax receipts for donations.

Its mission is to “support the advancement of religious and holistic formation and education, especially for families and youth”.

The objectives include:
1. developing and offering personal formation programs to youth and adults
2. operating residential facilities for young women desirous of living a Christian community experience while pursuing post-secondary studies and/or work placements (i.e. Discernment House in Saskatoon, Regina residence)
3. providing support for religious and educational programs in the Third World, especially through Presentation of Mary schools in The Gambia
