"Retired" Sisters in PA are Working for Others
| Share |
Sisters may be "retired", but at the Provincial House in Prince Albert, they are always working.....and working for others! A number of the Sisters are skilled in needlecraft of all kinds. Some knit or crochet mittens, scarves and tuques as well as make blankets for young people and children. The articles are distributed to the homeless and very poor families through two schools: St. Michael's Community School and Won-Ska Cultural School. Others are busy making shawls or stoles for Rachel's Vineyard, an organization that helps to heal persons who have experienced an abortion. A group gifted in other kinds of crafts also contibute useful objects for our annual Community Bazaar. The proceeds go to our Missions in Peru and for our local needy persons. The Sisters rejoicein being able to bring some joy and comfort to those in need.
