S. Zelie Dion Retires after 49 Years of Teaching....
| Share |
Sister Zelie Dion retired from teaching at Rivier Academy on June 30th, 2011 after spending 49 great years in the classroom. She has left a legacy in so many places around Saskatchewan and Manitoba because she loved, especially, "her kids". She often spoke of "her kids" at meal times with the sisters and shared her wonderful stories and everyone was entertained. She delighted in the children and helped them to "be" and "do" their best in fulfilling their dreams. Her love extended to all the children; especially, those who struggled more in school. She was full of energy and joy and helped their learning to be fun and enjoyable.
S. Zelie is a woman of many talents and she has shared her gifts generously with so many people. Thank-you for your remarkable dedication and love for the Lord. Know that you are loved and missed, especially, by "your kids".
S. Zelie writes, "I enjoyed both the challenges and enrichment these years provided for me. I will miss the students and staff. My teaching years have not yet been terminated as I continue teaching at the parish level in Children's Liturgy, Sacramental Preparation and with the RCIA program here in Prince Albert.
