Sisters of the Presentation of Mary

Fourteen candidates undertook these seven weeks of intense life in the Spirit. The leaders’ team consisted of: Bertha & John Couture, Gloria & Albert Rainey, Sr. Yvette and Sr. Diane. We met on Friday evenings.  During the week the candidates were to take some time to meditate every day on passages from the Bible that were suggested in their guide book.  As the weeks went by the teaching team noticed that slowly their attitudes changing and their way of looking at life.  As one person expressed, “I see things differently, not so much on earthly things”.  Another per son said, “I am more focused on God”.

The evening of reconciliation was particularly a strong healing experience. The fifth week, we invited people from the outside to come and pray for a release or reviving of the Spirit within them. Two came from Saskatoon, one from Prince Albert and one from Leask.  To close the sessions Bishop Albert came to celebrate the Eucharist on Sunday and anointed and commissioned these 14 candidates. It was truly a blessed time! This was followed by a potluck supper and fellowship. As a follow-up, some have asked to continue meeting on a regular basis to support each other. Friends or relatives of those who took these sessions have expressed the wish to take them also. We are looking at offering another session in the fall.
