Discernment Weekends
| Share |
Do your ever have times during the day where you are looking for direction and meaning in your life? Most often these moments pass us by quickly, but sometimes these moments are an invitation from the Holy Spirit to explore them in a deeper way.
The sisters offer several Live-in Discernment Weekends throughout the year for young single men and women. These weekends are an opportunity to prayerfully explore your life in bringing you meaning and direction. Come and discover who you are in God and how you can best serve God.
Each weekend will begin on the Friday evening around 7:00 PM and finish on the Sunday by 1:00 PM. Sunday mass is included in the retreat. Great accommodations and food are provided. An offering of $50.00 is appreciated for the weekend to cover the expenses of the retreat.

More about Discernment
Discernment is the prayerful process of coming to know how God is calling you to live your life. The process of working out where you are called is named “discernment.” The word discernment comes from the Latin word “discernere” which means to distinguish, to sift out, and to separate what may be from God, what may come from personal interests or cultural pressures. The primary task of discernment is to sort out all your impulses, attractions, fantasies and desires.
Discernment is a process of listening to the inner movements and learning to sift out what is from God and what is not from God. Discernment is a lifelong task. As Catholic Christians who live in union with Christ, we want to respond freely to the Spirit so as to become the person God has called us to be.
