History: the Sisters in Prince Albert
In 1903, at the request of Bishop Albert Pascal of Prince Albert, the Sisters of the Presentation opened their first mission in Western Canada in
Duck Lake, Saskatchewan. Demand for the sisters’ service soon arose in centers all across Northern and Central Saskatchewan and Manitoba. In time, many young women joined the community and
together we have invested our lives
to make Jesus Christ known and loved.
Today after
100 years of service in Western Canada the sisters are still actively engaged in service adapted to the spiritual and material needs of the people today.
