About Catholic Community Life

"You should be united together in such a way that we might say that all the Sisters in the same house are as ONE." - Marie Rivier

We have been gathered together by the Holy Spirit through faith in the Risen Christ, therefore we treasure community as one of the distinguishing marks of our congregation. We empower one another to live the gospel so that together we can actualise our common mission of making Jesus Christ known and loved.

Community life calls forth our giftedness and reveals to us our brokenness. It challenges us to love and forgiveness without judgment or self-centeredness.

This attitude is sustained by our life of prayer together. Each day we gather to pray the liturgy of the hours and celebrate the Eucharist. Time is consecrated to adoration of the blessed sacrament, monthly retreats, sharing of the Word, and community meetings.

Together we open ourselves to God. He alone can make of our communities houses of blessing, true cells of the church and beacons of light in the midst of the world, offering it the Word of life and the gospel of love and unity.
About consecrated life

You are not your own, you belong to Christ. (John Paul II, Redemptionis Donum)

Marie Rivier's sole desire to belong totally to Christ inspired this ardent prayer in her: O Jesus, that I may live for you alone, and that you alone may be everything for me! This radical demand to belong totally to Christ is lived out through our vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience.

Impelled by the sole love of Jesus Christ we vow to live a life of chastity as women religious. This consent to God of our whole being calls us to reveal the true greatness of love. Consecrated chastity liberates our hearts from attachment to any single being and opens us to a universal love which makes room for our brothers and sisters.

This love is different from that which the world proclaims; it is a faithful, total love, capable of risk. The Holy Spirit gathers us to form a fraternal community at the heart of the Church to be a sign of Gods abundant love. Our whole life is apostolic and missionary and is empowered by a deep life of prayer and love of Christ.

The simplicity of our life

Our vow of poverty: Our vow of poverty calls us to live in total communion with Christ, who emptied Himself unto the cross. Simplicity of life marks our lifestyle-everything is held in common and we live dependent on one another for the necessities of life. Our poverty allows us to live in solidarity with the poor of our world; therefore we experience the joy and freedom of those who have left everything to possess Jesus Christ, the unique treasure.

We bind ourselves to the Lord by obedience to the will of our Father. This vow touches our most secret and intimate choices, encompassing our whole being and all our activity. It calls us to seek the will of God, together with our superiors, and to make it fully our own.Our obedience leads us to entrust the whole of our destiny to God, placing all our faith and hope in Him.
cation.

Zeal for the Lord: We go preferably toward the poor, who held a sacred place in the heart of our foundress. A desire to glorify God impels us to adapt ourselves constantly to the ever new needs of evangelization; however, we accept no apostolate that does not allow for the explicit proclamation of Jesus Christ.

Through our mission Jesus Christ is being made known and loved in 18 different countries of the world. ALL FOR GOD, ALL THROUGH HOLY LOVE: this is the motto that expresses the offering of our life.

We offer a live-in discernment program to welcome young women into day to day spiritual living with our community of Sisters.
