Sisters of the Presentation of Mary

In order to better involve interested lay people and to assure continuity of the works, the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary recently formed two new corporations under the Saskatchewan Non-profit Corporations Act, 1995.  Both corporations are recognized as federal charities under The Income Tax Act, which allows us to offer income tax receipts (for donations over $25.00).

Rivier Academy Inc.

The objects of this corporation include:

• To further the knowledge & appreciation of the aims and objectives of Catholic education
• To operate educational institutions – Rivier Academy and Marion Aquatics (in Prince Albert)
• To operate a residence for young women in Gr. 10 to 12 at Rivier Academy.

The Board of Directors presently consists of four (4) Sisters of the Presentation of Mary and three (3) lay persons.

MR Vision of Hope Inc.

The objects of this corporation include:

• To offer programs to enhance personal, leadership & spiritual formation for youth and adults.
• To operate residential environments for young women desirous of living a Christian community experience while pursuing post-secondary studies and/or work placements. (i.e. Discernment House in Saskatoon; Presentation of Mary Residence in Regina)
• To support religious and educational programs in the Third World, especially works of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in The Gambia, West Africa.

The Board of Directors presently consists of three (3) Sisters of the Presentation of Mary and two (2) lay women.  Memberships are available for $10.00 yearly and the AGM is held in September.
